Today, I stayed home from work.  I came home last night from work and after supper I went and layed down and went to sleep.  This morning I woke up with a queasy stomach and since I didn't have much going on at work, I decided to stay home  and just take it easy.

I went to the clinic yesterday to get the test results of my yearly blood and urine tests.  I was really happy everything was fine.  Even my blood sugar test was down from this time last year.  My dad and brothers and sisters have all had a little  problem with our blood sugar  and it  was  reasuring to have my blood sugar going down instead of up.  The only problem was, that when I went to the clinic yesterday,  it was full of sick people and I had to wait in the waiting room for over an hour.  I hope I haven't caught what was going around.
We enjoyed last  weekend with Scott and Mandy and their children.  Scott and Mandy wanted to get away together to celebrate their ten year anniversary by going up to Waterton for a night.  Rod and I babysat their kids.  My how their kids are growing!!  We also celebrated Cason's birthday with Dairy Queen ice cream cake that Scott and Mandy brought home with them.

Zumba Class

After work I went to my hour long Zumba class at curves.  Usually the class is only 1/2 hour long, but tonight it was longer.  I hurt all over and my knee is sore but it was great fun..
I t was a beautiful day out on Saturday, and so I grabbed my camera and went for a walk.  I think it is finally
beginning to feel like Spring is on its way.

The Ranch

This is Buster looking down from the drift out behind our house.  The big drift is just waiting for grand kids to come play on when the weather gets warmer.  Last year Derick built a big snow cave in the drift behind the house.

Maternity Ward -  We have six cows left to have their calves.
This is what is left of the pine tree beside our house.  A couple of
Saturdays ago the wind was blowing outside like a hurricane.  Rod was hauling some bails to the barn and couldn't see because of the blowing wind and snow.  This is the result, when you can't see.

Feel Happier

I don't know about you but I am getting a little tired of all this cold weather.  I read this magazine article on 21 ways to feel happier in a flash. Here are some tips to feel happier.
1.  Change your computer wallpaper
2.  Yawn
3.  Get a whiff of vanilla (Not drink it!!!)
4.  Brush your hair upside down
5.  Sing an inspirational tune
6.  Do a loved one's chore
7.  Fill your hot water bottle
8.  Eat 3 Brazil nuts
9.  Walk, around the block (yes, that really does work)
10.  Brighten up your favorite rooms
11.  Serve up spuds (In Rod's case just have spuds for supper!)
12.  Warm some cider
13.  Head to church first
14.  Try salsa dancing (or Zumba dancing)
15.  Hold your head high
16.  Munch on popcorn
17. Block out nuisance noise
18.  Rearrange your junk drawer
19.  Give meals a fiery kick
20.  Switch to fragrant soap
21.  Turn in by this time ( In other words - go to bed before 11:00 p.m.)

Our Anniversary

Rod and I drove into town to the Dairy Queen for supper and an icecream treat to celebrate our anniversay. We are still calving and so we couldn't go too far from home but we do enjoy spending time together. We then came home and watched one of our favorite T.V. shows "Blue Bloods". It is quite ironic how we like the same things and the same shows most of the time. We love each other so much!!
