Rod updated his play list in I-tunes on Saturday morning and uploaded the songs onto his I-pod.  We were given a Costco gift certificate and so we bought a Bose over the ear headset which we just opened.  He was in the height of his glory listening to his I-pod with amazing sound.

I can't believe that Rod is using the computer more and more.  When I am looking for him, I will find him in  the office on the internet.  That is good and bad, because he finds all sorts of things that he would like to buy.
I went to town on Saturday and bought a bunch of bedding out plants.  I also bought a patio cherry tomato plant.  In the past I haven't had too much success with tomato plants because of the high altitude we are at, but Megan gave me a few suggestions on how to grow tomatoes and so I am going to try again.  I also bought five large containers, dirt and seeds.  I put them on my deck and planted lettuce, carrots, spinach, and radishes.
I planted my flowers out in the flower pots last night, but I had to bring them in again  because there was a frost warning.  It was a good thing that I did, because there was frost on all the windshields of the vehicles when we woke up this morning.

Hawk's Nest

When we arrived back from Rexburg yesterday, we noticed that  some hawks have built their  nest in the top of a  trees down by Grandma's house.  As you can see, we still do not have leaves on the trees, although the leaves have really started to come out today.  The grass is also starting to grow.  I love it when everything is lush and green.

Planting Flowers

Audrey has been busy planting her flowers out today.  Lindsey and Mar took her to town so that she could buy some more plants and then she was busy putting them out.    This evening it has been pouring rain and it is suppose to rain off and on all week.  I hope we can keep the cows out of the yard so that they don't damage all her hard work.

Waterton Park

Lindsey, Mar and I went to Waterton Park.  We drove around the town site and then drove up to Red Rock Canyon.  They redid the parking lot up to Red Rock Canyon  last year and so we couldn't visit that part of the park last year.   We then took a hike from Red Rock Canyon up to Blakiston Falls which is about a mile long trail.   Some of the trail was snow covered but we were able to walk on top of the snow.  I love the smell of the mountain fresh air, the trees and the beautiful water falls.  I really enjoyed the afternoon.  We just made it back to the car and then it just poured rain.

Sand Dunes

Rod and I,  just got back from a five day trip to Rexburg Idaho.   There was a large group of us,  from this area, that went down to Rexburg and to the  sand dunes that are close by.   Most of the group  brought their families with them, and both old and young enjoyed  riding  the sand dunes on their motorbikes and ATV's.  I prefer to bring my book along and just read and relax.  Scott, Mandy and family were there and  Derick and Megan and family came up from Utah and  spent a couple of days with us.   The kids really had a fun time swimming in the pool at the hotel and playing in the sand out at the dunes and going for rides on the quads.  I didn't get a chance to take any pictures of the big sand dunes but Derick and Megan took their camera out on a quad ride,  and so I hope they will post some of their pictures.

Saturday afternoon, Rod was out on the dunes riding his motorcycle, and tipped over and landed on his shoulder.  He must of pulled some muscles because he had a hard time raising his arm.  He is feeling a little better today, and so I am hoping that  with a little rest he will recover quickly.

Thank you to everyone, for looking after dad and I!!

Scott's new motorcycle.  He sold his old one and bought this one a couple of weeks before leaving for Rexburg.  He said this motorcycle was a lot more  fun and easier   to ride than   was  his Yamaha.
Lindsey and Mar came down  on Saturday  to visit  and stay with Grandma.  I really appreciate them coming and  spending  a couple of days with her  and  helping her  tend Buster while we were gone.  Buster didn't even miss us while we were away.  He is just like one of the grandkids, and knows that there are always special  treats at grandma's  house.

Canoe Trip

During Easter holidays, Lindsey and Mar went to Nova Scotia to visit with Mar's family.    They had a wonderful time visiting with family and friend and especially going on a two day canoe trip.  Someday,  I would love to go to Nova Scotia and see the places where  my ancestors settled  and lived.    I will be a lucky lady because I will have Mar to be my personal guide.

A duck has laid her eggs in the lilac bush beside Audrey's house.  Weird place for a nest!!  I went for a walk this evening and when I came back I could tell that the mother duck was sitting on her nest, so I did not disturb her.
The wind blew so hard while we were in Medicine Hat, that it blew the siding off of Audrey's house.  Happy to say, that Rod has it all fixed and put back in place.  We leave for Rexburg in the morning.

Medicine Hat

Yesterday, we drove down to Medicine Hat to see Raeley perform in her dance recital.  When we arrived, we went out to lunch with Robert, Crystal and Samantha, and had a nice visit with them.  We then went to watch Raeley's performance.  She did an awesome job and her costume was beautiful.  I got quite a kick out of watching Mya in the audience dance to the beat of the music as the students were performing on stage.  We then went with Scott, Mandy and their family out to supper.  I ate way too much yesterday.   Thank you Scott and Mandy and family for the wonderful day.   As soon as we got home I went for a walk. The weather was beautiful in Medicine Hat but it was cold and windy at home.  It was so windy,  it had blown some of the siding off of Audrey's house, so that will need to be put on and repaired  before we leave for Rexburg this week.  .

New Dishwasher

I am really excited, because for Mother's Day, I have received a new dishwasher from my wonderful husband.  I have been doing dishes by hand for a few years now, since my last one went on the blink, and so I told Rod that is what I wanted. It will be really nice having the new dishwasher, especially when I have a lot of family home to visit.  It seems like dirty dishes seem to pile up in the kitchen sink all the time and especially  when you have company, and that it take time out of your busy day to wash and dry them.  Who wants to take time to do dishes when you would rather spend time with the people that you love.  It was really  nice that  Rod could do all the hooking up and installation of the appliance especially since I have no clue how to do any of that.  I just let him do his thing!
The one I really wanted was  stainless steel, because I liked the inside better, but it didn't match any of my other appliances in the kitchen. Now I just need to get a new kitchen stove, but this one is still working, and I can live with it.
