Well, Rod and I are heading to Red Deer tomorrow for the annual Feeder Convention.  It is nice to get away and enjoy each other's company for a few days with all our meals and hotel room paid for my the Feeder Association.  I attend a few classes with Rod but for the most part I get to sleep in and read  at my leisure or check out the shops in the hotel.  I also go down to the exercise room and work out for a little while each day.

Just a note to say that the Jeep is all fixed and back home again.  It is such a nice feeling to have our own vehicle back home again and running.  It looks pretty good with all new shiny parts on the front and even some of the old scratches fixed.

I woke up this morning and was all prepared to go into work.  Rod wanted to go snowmobiling this morning and so he wanted the truck and so I offered to take Audrey in to get her hair done  in her car and work while she was at the beauty salon and then drive her home again and then go back into work.  We woke up to a horrific wind that was blowing the snow sky  high.  Audrey and I decided that it wasn't safe to go out in that kind of weather.  In the meantime Rod had gone to town to meet up with the guys.  He phoned back  home and told me that  the visibility was very poor and I told him I had already decided to stay home.  It wasn't too long before Rod arrived back home safe and sound which I thought was a very smart move on their part.

Last night I went to the Cardston Junior High production of "Annie".  Casey played the part of one of the orphans named Ivy and  she did a fabulous job of her part.  I really enjoyed the production and all the students preformed wonderfully.

I found out that our Jeep is almost finished being repaired from my accident in December. It  is all put back together but they need to reset all the computer stuff and get it up and running again.  Hopefully soon!!!

Scary Experience

I sure had a scary experience when I was driving home last night.  Shannon and I went to Lethbridge to check out a new vacuum for Shannon, because hers broke down.  When we arrived in town it was -20 degrees and I started heading for home.  I was just before the turn by Little's house and all of a sudden all the windows in the truck fogged over  in a matter of seconds.  It was like someone had thrown a blanket  over all my window and I couldn't see anything and the defrost in the truck couldn't clear the windows fast enough. All I could think of was "Please do not let me be in another accident".  I pulled off the highway as best as I could, and when I had finished shaking I called Rod  on the cellphone.  He asked me what the temperature gauge on the truck was and it was normal and then I looked up at the temperature outside gauge.  It was -3 degrees outside.  I must of hit that warm air and everything  instantly fogged up.  After all the windows cleared I started for home.  The temperature by the church was 3 above but by the time I arrived home it was -13 degrees.  That was an awful and scary experience!

New Lap-top Computer

Audrey, Rod and I received a new lap-top computer to use for the next year from the senior group that we belong to.  I took the computer down to Audrey's home last night and gave her a lesson on how to start the computer  and how to  work the mouse and the key pad.  I am still trying  to figure out the key board myself  as it is a little different than my desk-top keyboard.  We didn't have very good Internet connection last night at Audrey's but I will try again later on tonight.  I believe that the purpose of receiving new computers is to get more seniors using computers and the new technologies that are coming out.

Wonderful Christmas

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with family and a special friend  named Mar.  We enjoyed our old traditions and introduced some new ones.  Scott and Mandy introduced a new family Christmas tradition.  They brought a wrapped present where everyone had three guesses as to what they thought was inside.  The person with the best guess received the prize.  Leah was the winner!!  She guess the present was a Mr. Potato Head and the prize was a Fisher-Price - The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs.

Aidan wrote a new story for the Left/Right game.  Rod also wrote a new children's story for the family about Natasha and a Leprechaun.

Lindsey gave the family a unique gift.  It was a Wasgij Christmas Puzzle.  The picture on the outside of the box is not the same as the finished puzzle.  The box gave us some clues to help us put the puzzle together but we didn't discover what the picture was about until it was done.  It was really fun to put together and I am sure we will put the puzzle together next Christmas.

On the down side, we did have some people  that were sick during the holidays.  Samantha came down with the flu first and then Crystal, Mar and Lindsey.  Lindsey was really sick with a fever, nausea and just feeling awful.  It lasted for a few days and then all of them returned back to health.  Thankfully, Rod and I did not catch what was going around.
